PRIVACY COMMITMENT

Whose picture is it?

The athlete’s. Everything we build starts from one rule: the young athlete — and their family — own their picture. Everyone else sees only what their role needs to make a good call.

Role-based visibility, by design

Better Athlete is built around strict, canon-locked boundaries. These aren’t settings someone can loosen — they’re how the product works.

ATHLETESees everything about themselves. Owns what private detail is shared, and with whom.
PARENTSees readiness, engagement, and next steps. Never sees private health detail — cycle tracking, mental-health notes.
COACHSees the readiness tier and training guidance. Never sees private health detail or clinical notes.
CARE TEAMATs, PTs, MDs see the clinical picture needed for care — nothing about other athletes they don't treat.
LEADERSHIPSees de-identified rollups — distributions and trends, never an individual's private data.
BUSINESSSees aggregate metrics only — never athlete-level records.

What we never do

We don’t sell data. We don’t advertise to young athletes or families. Private health signals are never shared upward or sideways to satisfy anyone’s curiosity.

Minors first

Accounts for athletes under 13 are parent-managed. Consent and data-access controls are built for youth sport from the ground up, not adapted from an adult product.

Questions about your data?
We’ll answer plainly — no legalese wall.
